AppointmentQuest is using modern technologies to power our online appointment scheduling services. Not always following the mainstream IT crowd but judging by experience and sometimes following our professional instincts we have chosen software platform components we understand, trust and don’t feel frustrated working with every day.

All application servers in our data center run reliable Sun Solaris from Sun Microsystems, a perfect match to the Sun Enterprise server hardware manufactured by the same company.

Web server software of our choice is Apache by Apache Software Foundation. It runs AppointmentQuest web servers trouble-free for years, requires nearly zero administration, sustains heavy network traffic with extremely low latency and record-breaking uptime.

And the real jewel of our software platform is WebObjects from Apple Computer  —  the original web application server. At the very beginning of our company’s lifetime we have evaluated different application server offerings available on the market. WebObjects was selected to be the application server of our choice. During all those years of prototyping, development and maintenance we never regretted that decision. WebObjects’ incredible development tools, rock-solid reliability and 10+ years of NeXTSTEP, OpenStep and Mac OS X heritage allowed our company to design and build AppointmentQuest Online Appointment Manager to specifications unreachable by our competitors.
